Go For Broke National Education Center’s traveling exhibition, “Courage and Compassion: Our Shared Story of the Japanese American World War II Experience,” chronicles the stories of Japanese Americans during and immediately after WWII and highlights the bravery, integrity, and extraordinary support of Japanese Americans within communities across the country during that turbulent time.
Discover the legacy of the Japanese American soldiers of WWII, the origins of Florida’s Japanese American communities with the Yamato colony, the story of Camp Blanding, where Nisei soldiers trained before their deployment to Europe, and more, through firsthand accounts, archival images, and artifacts generously contributed by veterans’ families.
