Be sure to watch a special live stream kick-off of our new four-part series, Living the Nisei Dream, on Saturday, February 27 at 12 PM PST on GFBNEC's YouTube and Facebook with host Sierra Katow and special guest, Kaze Jones. Filmed (socially distanced) in iconic Little Tokyo, including our Defining Courage exhibit, Bunkado and Far Bar, this inaugural two-video segment explores how the accomplishments of the Nisei veterans ensured that Yonsei, Gosei and Shin-Nikkei Japanese Americans could pursue their own dreams and passions.

Special thank you to Kaze Jones, Irene Tsukada Simonian / Bunkado, Alan Miyatake / Toyo Miyatake Collection, Don & Jennifer Tahara / Far Bar and Staci Toji for their participation and support of this program.
