INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPT: Interviewer: What did you think about the Lost Battalion? Well, one thing I think is, it is a division. It's a big unit. How come they don't use the other regiments to help the battalion, you know? I don't know why, but they think maybe the 442 guys are, I don't know whether the 442 guys are better outfit or what. But actually, the other guys should help their own unit. But they didn't. The general, what's his name... Interviewer: Dahlquist? General Dahlquist? Was it Dahlquist? Dahlquist, yeah. I don't know what his idea was, but to use only the Japanese outfit, you know, and not use his own men. That was, I don't know, made us really mad.
