Position:
Oral History Program Intern: Virtual Veteran Monument Tour Project

Purpose:
To gain hands-on experience in coordinating video documentary production (pre-production, production & post-production) resulting in a short interactive film.

Major Duties:

  • Assist in pre-production phase
    (Brainstorm ideas and create a storyboard and script for Docents to be videotaped. Coordinate with volunteer coordinator "Extra" needs. (i.e.- students in background)
  • Assist in production phase
    (gain hands-on experience with HDV broadcast quality video production)
  • Assist in post-production/distribution
    (Edit footage to create a strong delivery of the Go For Broke Monument’s history and significance)

Time Commitment:
Minimum two days a week (full days preferred)

Qualifications:

  • Interest in learning documentary video production and post production within the context of a nonprofit organization's oral history program.
  • TV/FILM production and post production experience a plus
  • Excellent computer skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Good organizational abilities
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Compensation:
Stipend (Upon completion of 160 hours)
