INTERN PROGRAM
Our internship program provides pre-professional work experience for college students and recent graduates who are looking to gain experience in a particular career field. Or, if you’ve been in the work force and are looking to make a career change, our internships provide a way to test the waters and gain "real life" experience to assess whether a community-based nonprofit career is right for you.
We currently have the following internship positions (as of April 2013):
- Hanashi Oral History Assistant/Researcher
- Historical Documents Archivist
- Social Media Developer
- Web Developer
What Makes Our Program Unique
We are an intergenerational nonprofit so you will have an opportunity to work alongside nonprofit professionals, as well as veterans who served in segregated Japanese American units of World War II and are part of our nation’s "Greatest Generation."
The work you will be doing will help to ensure that the legacy of these Japanese American veterans lives on in the collective conscience of our nation.
Application Deadlines:
We understand that there are many different college and university calendars, and we are willing to work with your schedule. We accept applications three times per year:
- June 1 for summer internships
- August 1 for fall internships
- December 1 for winter/spring internships
