GO FOR BROKE EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION HOSTS "GO FOR BROKE POKER TOURNAMENT"

(TORRANCE, Calif. - March 24, 2005) - The Go For Broke Educational Foundation still has spots available to play at its first ever Go For Broke Poker Tournament to be held Sunday, April 17, 2005 at the Holiday Inn Torrance from 12 - 6 p.m. This afternoon affair will feature professional dealers and equipment, great prizes for the top winners - including the grand prize trip for two to Australia - an appetizer buffet, giveaways for all participants, and much more. The Poker Tournament - No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em that has fast become today’s most popular card came - is $75 per player, $65 per veteran. Spectators are also welcome for $15.

Organized by volunteers, the Go For Broke Poker Tournament is being held to raise funds to support the Go For Broke Educational Foundation’s education initiatives on the Japanese American veterans who served America during World War II.

The men who served in the 100th Infantry Battalion, 442nd Regimental Combat Team and Military Intelligence Service represent a model American story. More than 16,000 brave soldiers volunteered to fight in a segregated unit while their families, citizens of this country, were forced to live in U.S. concentration camps. Their contributions led them to become the most decorated unit in U.S. military history for its size and length of service, and serves as a reminder that no American should be deprived of their rights to citizenship.

Prize donations and sponsorships are also welcome. The Go For Broke Educational Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Please contact Stephanie Yorizane at (310) 222-5711 or e-mail Poker@GoForBroke.org for player registration, sponsorships and prize donations. Additionally, visit www.GoForBroke.org/poker for more information on the Go For Broke Educational Foundation and the poker event.
